Comparison...

Comparison of two lenses at 24.0 mm focal length.  It might take some long staring but after looking at millions of images like I have there is definitely a detectable difference in quality.  Sadly the lesser image is produced by a Nikon AF-D lens and the one on the right is made with a Tokina. This just goes to show you that not everything that glitters is Nikon!

Fond memories of our trip to China last summer abound.  It has been almost 12 months and there is no return trip insight.  Until we can return to make some more images, enjoy this one.  This image was made using a 10.5 mm fisheye lens and it was handheld.  The camera body was a Nikon D2Xs.  Notice how the fluid lines of the grand staircase play well into the curvature of the fisheye optics.
